Pranav Sharma is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Policy Tank, a dynamic public policy and research organization dedicated to bridging the gap between theoretical learning and real-world execution. With a strong vision to build a community-driven ecosystem, he has led the organization in creating meaningful opportunities for students and professionals to engage in policy research, advisory, and impact-driven projects.
Under his leadership, The Policy Tank has grown into a platform known for its focus on high-impact research, white papers, training programs, and institutional collaborations. Pranav has been instrumental in developing structured frameworks for organizational execution and performance, enabling individuals to build practical skills, contribute to governance discourse, and create measurable societal impact.
Pranav’s journey is deeply rooted in his extensive engagement with civil services and governance. He has appeared for two UPSC Civil Services Interviews, one Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (PSC) Interview, and has also attempted the United Nations Young Professionals Programme (UN Civil Services Exam). These experiences have significantly shaped his understanding of public administration, policy design, and institutional systems.
In recognition of his leadership and contributions, Pranav has been honored with the Outstanding Leadership Award in Education (twice) and the Outstanding Leadership Award at the CXO level. He has also been nominated for the Forbes 30 Under 30 (International) and is an Oxford Youth Leadership Awardee, with his work being recognized by the House of Commons.
Beyond his organizational leadership, Pranav is also the host of the Tank Talks Podcast, where he engages with thought leaders, policymakers, and professionals to discuss ideas shaping the future of governance and public policy.

Former Inspector General of Police (CRPF), Dr. Shashi Kant Upadhyay is a distinguished security and governance expert with 35+ years of leadership in national security, law enforcement, and public administration. His expertise includes policy formulation, crisis and disaster management, and training & capacity building.

Through classroom teaching and community engagement, I have witnessed the gap between children’s lived realities and the systems designed to support them. At The Policy Tank Foundation, I hope to bring those ground-level insights into the policy-making process and contribute toward building systems that are empathetic, evidence-informed, and responsive to the communities they serve.
